Laser Skin Resurfacing

Premier Plastic Surgery and Skin Rejuvenation Center is pleased to offer a wide variety of laser rejuvenating and resurfacing options to best meet your needs. We use the Sciton Laser, which is the most advanced, powerful and safe technology on the market today. Our esthetician works closely with the plastic surgery physician staff to develop a laser rejuvenation/resurfacing treatment plan that is individually tailored to the patient's needs and desired results.

MicroLaserPeel ™

The Sciton MicroLaserPeel ™ is the latest advancement in treating such conditions as fine lines & wrinkles, scars, acne scars and pigmentary problems. This procedure is designed for people who expect better results than a microdermabrasion or light chemical peels, want immediate results, but have little time for a prolonged healing process.

Patient recovery from the Sciton MicroLaserPeel ™ is rapid. Symptoms immediately following the procedure resemble sunburn, with mild weeping, which can last 1-3 days. The procedure may be performed on a Thursday or Friday, so you may return to work the following Monday. Any mild discomfort you may experience can easily be managed with an over the counter pain reliever.

How many MicroLaserPeels ™ can be done?

Depending on individual desired results, one procedure could be sufficient for at least 6 to 12 months. However, typically, the procedure is repeated 2-4 times, spaced 6-8 weeks apart.

What can you expect?

You will experience smoother, healthier, more vibrant skin, with a significant, immediate change in skin texture and tightness as compared to microdermabrasion.

Profractional Laser Resurfacing

The Premier Rejuvenation Peel- combines a MicroLaserPeel ™ and Profractional ™ for a more dramatic improvement in the overall appearance of the skin. ProFractional is a quick, in-office procedure, with little downtime for healing. The MicroLaserPeels ™ high energy is used to remove the thin, dead layer of skin and is then followed by Profractional resurfacing, which uses laser energy to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin which are surrounded by areas of untreated skin. The treated areas stimulate productions of collagen, smoothing out lines, scars and other irregularities.

What conditions can be treated with the ProFractional ™?

ProFractional ™ can be used to improve a wide variety of skin conditions, but is used most for wrinkles and fine lines, post-traumatic scars, acne scars, age spots, sun spots, aging and sun-damaged skin.

What is a ProFractional ™ procedure like?

Profractional is a fast procedure done in our office. The procedure normally takes 30 minutes to one hour depending on the condition and size of the area treated. A topical numbing agent will be applied in advance to help with any discomfort you may experience during the procedure.

How many treatments will I need?

ProFractional is typically done in a series of 1-4 treatments, spaced 6-8 weeks apart, depending on your needs. Our physician directed team will personalize a treatment plan based on your desired results.

What should I expect after treatment?

Immediately following the procedure you may experience a mild redness, resembling a sunburn sensation. Complete healing takes 2-5 days and most patients can get back to work and apply makeup within 4-7 days after the procedure.

Premier Rejuvenation Peel with BBL-

This treatment is a combination of the Premier Rejuvenation Peel with BBL for more focused treatment of sun damage spots and is performed by our licensed esthetician.

Perioral/Periorbital Resurfacing-

Localized deeper perioral (area around the lips) and periorbital (area around the eyes) laser resurfacing for deeper wrinkles can be performed in the office setting by one of our Board Certified Plastic Surgeons after a local anesthetic block is administered to the treatment area. This deeper localized resurfacing treatment is often performed along with the Premiere Rejuvenation Peel in conjunction with our licensed esthetician to achieve dramatic results.
