The Premier Plastic Surgery Team
Tanya Mongeau - Licensed Esthetician
During this time I found myself drawn to the challenging and rewarding area of skin care. In 2003, after further education and training, I began my career as a Licensed Esthetician. For the last several years, prior to joining Premier Plastic Surgery and Skin Care Center, I performed skin rejuvenation, microdermabrasion, and cellulite reduction therapies with a special interest and experience in Laser Hair Reduction and IPL Phototherapy treatments. I joined Premier Plastic Surgery and Skin Care Center in October of 2009 so that I could work in an environment which would allow me to practice state of the art medical esthetics. I look forward to working closely with the board certified Plastic Surgeons at Premier Plastic Surgery in order to provide our clients with the full spectrum of preventive and restorative skin care treatments. My goal is to help educate my clients about their particular skin care concerns and needs as well as guide them to enhance their own natural beauty. I am a member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialist and will further my education in the field of medical esthetics through this membership as the industry continues to grow. Cathi S Smith - Practice Manager
I attended LC State in Idaho, majoring in Business and Marketing. Since the age of 17 I have had the privilege of being in management roles. I have spent the past 20 years in the medical field (primarily family practice). This has allowed me to put to use my skills, passions and desire to work and serve people while overseeing the "whole" operation of each practice and how it functions. I have been heavily involved with implementing electronic medical records, giving me a better understanding of how technology is used to better control patient care while ensuring a safeguard to their privacy. As an administrator I find that "leading by example" is critical. How others view me in the way I treat others, as well as demonstrating my work ethics is important to me. I feel honored to be a part of the Premier Plastic Surgery team! |
Becki Almeida - Cosmetic Consultant
I began with Premier Plastic Surgery in May 2008 and enjoy the various roles in my position as Cosmetic Consultant. I am the main contact for cosmetic patients starting with the first phone call to set up the initial consultation, assisting with scheduling their surgery and then greeting them back to the office during their post-operative visits. I really enjoy educating patients and answering their questions regarding their chosen procedures. It is rewarding to see how happy patients are with their results during their follow-up visits. It is also great working for three dedicated surgeons and an esthetician that really care about their patients and are also very skilled at what they do. With our newly remodeled Cosmetic and Skin Rejuvenation Suite, our patients can sit comfortably in a private and state of the art environment and rest easy knowing they are in the most capable hands in Johnson County. I look forward to meeting with you and helping you with your cosmetic choices. Mandy Farkas - - Licensed Practical Nurse
I graduated from Johnson County Community College L.P.N program with Honors and I.V. certification in 2007. Following graduation, I worked at K.U. Jayhawk Primary Care for two and a half years expanding my clinical experience and skills. I most enjoy developing the nurse/patient relationship. I joined Premier Plastic Surgery in November 2009 and have truly enjoyed working closely with the surgeons and staff. I have been in the medical field for over five years and I am highly motivated, enthusiastic and confident in my knowledge of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. I strive to demonstrate an honest and professional demeanor at all times. My goal as an LPN with Premier Plastic Surgery is to help you as much as possible by providing exceptional care throughout your surgical experience so that you achieve the highest level of satisfaction. I enjoy educating and supporting patients throughout their pre and post operative process. I believe good patient education and communication are key elements in meeting your needs and goals. I look forward to working closely with you so that I am able to care for your needs professionally, while building a personal, lasting relationship. |

I am originally from Pennsylvania and have always had a passion for working in the medical industry. I first worked as a nursing assistant for six years.
I am an Oregon native who has just recently relocated to the Overland Park area. While I have a deep love for the Pacific Northwest and the greenery in which we are known for, I have fallen in love with the open countryside of Kansas.
I attended Baker University and graduated with a degree in Physical Education with emphases in Sports Administration, Exercise Science and Recreational Management, and a minor in Business. The majority of my work experience has been in athletics, interning and working full-time at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and coaching collegiate and youth soccer. While I love athletics I have always had a desire to work in the medical field. When the opportunity to work at Premier Plastic Surgery presented itself I immediately embraced the opportunity. I liked the fact the doctors' practice was multi-dimensional encompassing cosmetic, reconstructive and hand surgery. I was also excited to be a part of the expansion of their skin rejuvenation center.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse with Premier Plastic Surgery, I would like to welcome you to our practice. At Premier Plastic Surgery we pride ourselves with compassionate, patient centered care and education that meets your individual needs. We strive to give each patient the highest quality of care.
