Male Lower Body Lift
The results of a lower body lift are almost immediately apparent, although there will be some swelling and bruising. You may be required to wear a compression garment for many weeks to help reduce swelling and help support the areas as they heal. In addition to a garment, you may have drains to help remove excess fluid or blood. Instructions for drains will be given post-operatively.
You should limit your activity for the first 48 hours and then gradually increase your activity the third day after surgery. Mild exercise such as walking and climbing stairs is encouraged; however, heavy lifting, straining or intense aerobic activities should be curtailed for the first six to eight weeks. The surgical sites require minimal care. Usually dissolving sutures are used; however, if removable sutures are used they will be removed in approximately one week. Your first post-operative visit is within five to seven days and your doctor will advise you on scar massaging and the usage of your garment.
