Male Lower Body Lift
The most common reason for male lower body lift is excess skin in the lower trunk area following massive weight loss. It is particularly common after gastric banding or gastric bypass procedures. Body lift surgery is an extremely effective procedure for patients with excess skin resulting from significant weight loss. Patients with large amounts of excess skin through the midsection and lower body are good candidates for a lower body lift. A lower body lift can improve the shape and tone of the fat and skin. Excess sagging fat and skin are removed and dimpled, uneven skin can be improved.
Body lifts are not intended strictly for the removal of excess fat, but rather more for excess skin removal. Liposuction can achieve fat removal where skin has good elasticity. In some cases liposuction is used in conjunction with a body lift to obtain your desired outcome.
Areas that respond well to body lifts include:
- Abdominal area, locally or extending around the sides and into the lower back area
- Buttocks, that may be low, flat or shaped unevenly
- Groin that may sag into the inner thigh
- Inner, outer or posterior thigh, or circumferentially
