Arm lift surgery for males is usually performed under a general anesthetic as an out patient procedure. It generally takes two hours to perform. Incision patterns vary based on the amount and location of excess skin and patient and surgeon preference. Incisions are concealed as much as possible on the inside of the arm or on the back of the arm and may extend from the underarm to the elbow. In some cases where fat is to be removed as well as the excess skin, liposuction may be used in conjunction with an arm lift. Underlying tissue is tightened and reshaped after incisions are made and held in place with internal sutures. Finally the skin is smoothed over the new contour of your arms.
